5th Year Anniversary Trek to Toubkal in Morocco
15th-21st November 2008 |
To celebrate our 5th Anniversary this
November, Trek Hire UK is organising a trek to the Atlas mountains
in Morocco for up to 12 people and to help keep the costs down,
we will be supplying most of the equipment need to summit North
Africa’s highest peak, Jebel Toubkal.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is new to trekking
and curious to find out how it feels to walk at altitude and of
course, even more interestingly, how to use items such as Ice Axes
and Crampons on the snow covered slopes of the High Atlas Mountains.

Arrive- transfer to hotel , Hotel Riad Assia or similar. |

Transfer to Oukaimden , and meet the muleteer team,
trek to Taceddirt, Gite or camp. |

Taceddirt to Aroumd over the high pass , gite or camping. |
6 hours |
| 18th |
Aroumd to Nelter base camp, |
5-6 hours |
| 19th |
Summit day- and descent to Nelter, night in Imlil gite |
7-8 hours |

Return to Marrakech early morning- time to explore
Marrakech- Celebration dinner in Dar Es Salaam (drinks extra). |

Trek Hire UK will supply the following
items of equipment for the trek FREE of charge:
- Four Season Sleeping Bags
- Waterproof Jackets
- Waterproof Trousers
- Ice Axe
- Crampons
All personal equipment i.e. (warm clothing, boots, socks etc)
you will have to bring yourself. Trek Hire UK can advise you on
all of the kit that you will need on application. We
recommend you attend one of our trek training days nearer departure
time.
